Tractor driving and related Operations (ATD02)

This covers the safe driving of a tractor, pre-use maintenance and safety checks, and recognition of controls and instruments. The test covers the use of the tractor in a range of situations. During the assessment the tractor has to be driven safely and correctly around a suitable course, including reversing with a trailer. It also covers trailer hitching and attaching 3-point linkage and PTO driven attachments.

Unit 2    Operate the tractor
Unit 3    Hitch trailer and three-point linkage implement to the tractor
Optional
Unit 4    Operate loader

Unit 4 is an optional unit, which covers the use of a tractor fitted with a front-end loader. The certificate is endorsed accordingly.

This is not a driving licence. Candidates must be a minimum age of 16 or over.
